Why We Built This Site
West Virginia allows broad access to open court records, yet Pendleton County does not place every docket in one database. WVPASS serves public Circuit and Family matters, while Magistrate Case Record Search serves lower-court cases. The Circuit Clerk keeps Circuit and Family filings; the Magistrate Clerk handles Magistrate files. Clear routing matters when a felony transfers courts or a family document is confidential.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Pendleton County
- Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
- Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
- Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any West Virginia court, clerk of court, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Search boxes shown on some pages are operated by outside providers. Each provider controls its service, results, and charges. A completed paid signup may produce a referral payment that supports site operations. We neither set those prices nor control the records returned by a partner.
